Future Women MPs Training Weekend

The success of so many women in these local and Euro elections has led to more funding in order to encourage women to engage in politics.

I’m proud of the fact that in my own parish, I’m one of six women councillors (five Lib Dem and one Labour). The first time ever that Tupton has had more women Parish Councillors than men. The glass ceilings can be broken – and, as I’m sure you already know, we Lib Dems don’t like glass ceilings (unless they’re in a conservatory!!!)

As such, the party is running a Future Women MPs Training Weekend on July 20-21, 2019 at Milton Keynes.

The event is open to all women, not just those who have already exprssed an interest or who are sitting councillors. Even if it’s something you just think you might be interested in, you’re welcome to attend and decide whether it is something for you.
