Ensure that 26 million properties receive insulation retrofits by 2025, prioritising the fuel poor, saving the average household £550 per year on energy bills.
Policing
Increase community policing, investing an extra £300 million a year in local police forces.
Abolish the role of Police and Crime Commissioners, which are a great expense, with an accountable board made up of local councillors.
Education
Reverse cuts to school funding by investing a further £10 billion into our education system.
Guarantee all teachers a payrise which is at least in line with inflation and invest in 20,000 new teachers to give children the best start.
Representation
End watsed votes by introducing proportional representation for Westminster and local elections.
Strengthen and expand the lobbying register and prohibit MPs from accepting paid lobbying work.
Credibility
The Institute for Fiscal Studies has analysed each of the political parties’ manifestos. It has independently confirmed that only the Liberal Democrats have a credible manifesto.
According to them neither the Labour nor Conservative manifestos are credible.
Helping the Most Vulnerable
The Resolution Foundation has confirmed that Lib Dem manifesto would lift more families out of poverty than either the Conservatives or Labour.
