The Housing Crisis

The housing crisis affects us all in different ways. From people forced into homelessness to young couples who can’t afford children. From those who suffer long commutes to those who can’t afford to take the job they want. Cramped conditions, skimping on luxuries, an assetless generation, and simply because demand for housing outstrips supply.

  • The number of people sleeping rough in the UK rose to 4,134 in 2016, a 16% increase from the previous year
  • Home ownership has halved amongst young people since the early 90s
  • The average home now costs twice what it did in 2000
