Lib Dems Announce First Candidates for May 2019

The District Council elections may seem a long way off yet; however, the Liberal Democrats are keen to ensure that our representatives are carefully selected to ensure that we stand only candidates we know will work hard all year round for their constituents should they be elected.

North Derbyshire Liberal Democrats are proud to formally announce our first set of Candidates – for Tupton Ward, in North East Derbyshire. Currently, a two-member ward, new boundaries will be taking in more of Wingerworth than previously, so the May 2018 Election will see three Councillors being returned to represent the larger number of voters.

Incumbent Liberal Democrat Councillor for Tupton, David Hancock, said:

I am pleased to announce that [Parish Councillor] Pam Windley and Ross Shipman will be standing with me to be re-elected for the Tupton ward in the North East Derbyshire District Council elections in May 2019.

Throughout the year your local Lib Dem team have been working hard for local residents and we will continue to do so. Our aim is to improve local services and make ourselves available to you at all times.

We hope you can use all THREE of your votes for us to represent the Tupton ward next year.

In the meantime; if you need our support – please do not hesitate to contact me on 07703 437180, Pam on 07500 375236 or Ross on 07890 909486.
